One of the best interior designs ever for 42 ft, the CC Hunter Passage 42 is an American sailboat that was designed by the Hunter Design Team as a cruiser. As a recreational keelboat, it has a B&R masthead sloop rig with backstay, a center cockpit, a raked stem, a walk-through reverse transom with a swimming platform and folding ladder, an internally mounted spade-type rudder controlled by a wheel and a fixed wing keel. This vessel blends center-cockpit comfort with surprising performance in a contemporary cruising boat with bluewater capabilities. The deck is easy access via two side gates and aft swim platform with molded in steps to deck and padded sun lounge on aft cabin. Unencumbered decks with a one step access to roomy cockpit and custom upholstered back rest across rear portion. The forward part of the cockpit has a well designed ladder with hand rails to salon, galley down one step off to starboard, out of traffic, roomy, and yet part of salon with oval table and seating to port, love seat and bar to starboard. The large L-shaped seating area and dining table is on the port side, that drops down to make a double berth. With another seating area on the starboard side opposite the table, it’s perfect for entertaining.

Moving forward there is a head and shower to starboard with access from the main salon and access from the forward cabin. The forward cabin has a hanging locker on the starboard side with seating. The port side also has a seating area and a desk top vanity with storage. There is also a centerline queen bed to make this space very comfortable.

Moving aft from the forward cabin through the main salon, the starboard side is where you will find the well appointed galley with lots of cabinets and storage. A top and front load fridge and separate freezer, large 2 bowl stainless steel sink and 3 burner stove and oven fueled by compressed natural gas. The port side opposite the galley you will find the navigation station and electrical panel.

Moving aft again you enter the large aft state room with lots of storage seating area and center line queen bed. You will also find a fully equipped head with a tub shower.

The vessel has excellent natural light throughout from a generous amount of port lights and ventilation via opening ports and hatches well placed throughout. The large port lights in salon have white scrim covers which allow light in and give a good amount of shade and privacy!
