Bill Shaw designed this boat as dual purpose. In his words, all one needs to do to convert from a cruiser to a racer is change the crew. The Pearson 40 was conceived as a “warm, luxurious and roomy cruising yacht that is forgiving, balanced on all points of sail with excellent sea-keeping ability.”

Her shallow draft with the board up allows for gunkholing just about anywhere you wish. With the board down she goes well to weather and will handle offshore conditions. This is a highly versatile, shallow draft and deep cockpit yacht with excellent visibility from the cockpit and the added safety of the flush decks for sail changes.

She is a true blue water cruiser that performs very well and is comfortable in heavy or light weather. Take a look at the extensive list of improvements and let the experts in yacht ownership in Mexico show you how easy it is to begin your cruising dreams today.
