A teardrop-shaped hull, wide beam, discreet reverse transom, and long overhangs might be the hallmarks of a vintage racing boat, but Ted Brewer designed the Morgan 382 as a cruiser with an old-world quality feel, excellent in a seaway and nimble in light airs: perfect for the Sea of Cortez. This boat has the deep (6′) keel, a keel-stepped mast and an elongated (internally ballasted) fin keel with a skeg-hung rudder and cut-away fore-foot. The 382 features a separate shower stall, not usually seen in boats under 40′. The interiors’ well preserved wood and all brass fixtures (LED) add a warm graciousness not available in current production boats.
This is a classic fiberglass boat with a teardrop-shaped hull, a 12′ beam and long overhangs. She has a thick hull, sits low in the water and is a pleasure to sail. Owners have taken them everywhere. “Shadowfax” is a well-equipped, comfortable cruising yacht, so make sure you take a look at her full inventory!
